The STO-2 is a pressure sensor, in the same way that our ears are. It is not a coincidence. Avenson sought to produce the most natural sounding microphones possible and this is how they produced the STO-2. Sold in matched pairs (like two ears!), the STO-2s are perfect for capturing instruments that don't need to be altered or flattered.
