Small-diaphragm FET condenser microphone

The Soyuz 011 FET is a compact pencil condenser mic, handmade in Russia. A 19 mm capsule designed and machined by Soyuz and a transformerless circuit: the Soyuz sound in a discreet format, at a more accessible price than the 013 series.

A Soyuz signature, without a transformer

The 011 series was voiced to offer controlled lows, smooth mids and defined highs. The transformerless circuit gives a fast, articulate response, a very low noise floor (16 dB A-weighted) and a transparent sound that never turns harsh. Where the 013 brings the harmonic density of its toroidal transformer, the 011 focuses on precision and speed.

Small, light, easy to place

At 91 mm long and 76 g, the 011 FET fits where larger mics can't: between two drums, above a snare, in a live rig or a crowded recording setup. Its hand-machined body is built to withstand touring as well as studio sessions.

From strings to snare

With 130 dB max SPL and the supplied -10 dB pad, the 011 FET covers a wide dynamic range: strings and acoustic guitar, piano, percussion, close-miked toms and snare, overheads or amps. The optional hypercardioid and omnidirectional capsules screw onto the same body to match the polar pattern to the source and the room.

011 or 013: which one to choose?

The 011 FET is the most compact and affordable Soyuz pencil mic, with a precise, fast sound. The longer 013 FET uses a 25 mm capsule and a toroidal transformer that give it more warmth and density. For a matched stereo pair, the 011 is available as the 011 FET-M.
