Audeze Maxwell 2 ANC : le planar sans fil passe à la réduction de bruit adaptative

Audeze Maxwell 2 ANC: the wireless planar gets adaptive noise cancelling

Audeze is back at it. The California maker, known for its high-end planar magnetic drivers, has just launched the Maxwell 2 ANC: an active-noise-cancelling version of its Maxwell 2 wireless headphone, unveiled on 17 July 2026 and available immediately. A first for the Maxwell range, which had never featured ANC before.

Noise cancelling built for gaming, not against it

Where most ANC headphones try to erase everything, Audeze developed adaptive hybrid noise cancelling that attenuates ambient noise while preserving the directional cues essential to gaming — approaching footsteps, the source of a shot. The headphone adds a reworked transparency mode, AI-driven ANC parameters and voice commands.

The best of the Maxwell, kept

Beneath the new system, the Maxwell 2 ANC keeps the in-house planar magnetic driver and Audeze's SLAM technology, delivering tight bass and dynamics well above the gaming-headset average. Simultaneous wired and Bluetooth audio is also on board.

Multi-platform compatibility

Two versions are offered — PlayStation (PS4/PS5) and Xbox (One/Series X|S) — both compatible with Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch / Switch 2.

Key features

  • Circumaural wireless planar magnetic headphone with SLAM technology
  • Adaptive hybrid active noise cancelling + transparency mode
  • AI-driven ANC parameters, voice commands
  • Simultaneous wired + Bluetooth audio
  • PlayStation and Xbox versions, compatible with PC / Mac / Android / iOS / Switch

The Maxwell 2 ANC is available now. In the US, the PlayStation version is listed at $429 and the Xbox version at $449; euro pricing is to be confirmed. It's available from specialist retailers, including the Audeze range.
