Trinnov NOVA: 7.1.4 comes free with every NOVA 6, for one month

In early September, Trinnov took NOVA immersive with software version 2.1.3 (we covered it here). The rule was simple: a NOVA licensed for 8 Optimizer channels automatically unlocks up to 12 channels in Immersive mode — enough to optimize a full 7.1.4 system. For a NOVA 6 owner, that still meant buying one more OPT2 license.

For one month from 21 September 2026, that last step goes away: Trinnov is giving the missing license away. Any NOVA 6 bought or upgraded during the offer leaves ready to handle 12 optimized channels.

Three ways in

The offer works just as well for new customers as for those who already have a NOVA in their rack:

• New NOVA 6: the extra license is loaded onto the processor before it ships.
• NOVA Bundle 6 (NOVA 6, 3D etherCON microphone and La Remote): same deal, the bundle ships in its 12-channel configuration.
• Upgrading an existing NOVA 2 or NOVA 4 to NOVA 6: Trinnov automatically adds the licenses needed to reach 12 channels. All we need is the unit's serial number.

In practice, a NOVA 4 owner buys a single 2-channel Optimizer license to go straight to 7.1.4, and a NOVA 2 owner buys two.

What it does to the bill

Outside the promotion, going from 6 to 12 immersive channels takes one more OPT2 license: €720 incl. VAT (€600 excl. VAT). That's exactly what the offer saves you. Our prices during the promotion:

Before you wire up the heights

Immersive mode comes with a few rules worth knowing before you draw up the room. It runs over the Dante inputs, up to 48 kHz, with one active speaker set at a time, and is configured through a dedicated preset created in the NOVA Wizard. Most importantly, NOVA does not decode Dolby Atmos: your DAW or renderer feeds it the discrete channels, and NOVA applies the Optimizer to each of them before they reach your monitors.

That said, Trinnov points out that in practice you can mix the unit's different connection types within the same system, which leaves real flexibility for the installation.

For small to mid-sized immersive mixing, mastering or QC rooms, it's one of the most direct ways today to get a properly optimized 7.1.4 out of a single 1U box.

How to order

For a new NOVA 6 or Bundle 6, order straight from the Trinnov NOVA page: the immersive license is added automatically. For an upgrade, order the 2-channel Optimizer licenses you need and send us your NOVA's serial number. Since the licenses are software-only, they stay available even when physical stock shows zero.
