3-way monitoring speakers
The penultimate speaker in the range, the Quasar, inherits the impeccable stereo imaging, temporal coherence, and level of detail and precision of its smaller sibling, the Pulsar, but with greater power and extended bass thanks to its second subwoofer. The axisymmetrical "sub-coax-sub" arrangement generates an even more coherent hemispherical wavefront, ensuring superior integration at all frequencies, at any distance, and from any angle within its 90° × 90° conical coverage.
Custom subwoofer from the SEAS Extreme series
These low-distortion, long-excursion drivers, featuring rigid aluminum diaphragms, deliver stunning precision and bass extension. With two identical subwoofers, the Quasar boasts superior dynamic range, even lower distortion, and deeper infrasonic extension. All with perfect time alignment.
Coaxial Midrange / Tweeter
The latest generation of Composite Sound Metamodal TeXtreme diaphragms, made of carbon fiber, are ultra-light and ultra-rigid. They feature optimized geometries that actively suppress resonances. The mathematically optimized midrange waveguide, combined with a low-excursion suspension and precise point-source acoustic center alignment, ensures a remarkably homogeneous off-axis response. A state-of-the-art, ultra-low-distortion neodymium motor guarantees exceptionally transparent sound reproduction.
Electronic
Digital conversion is handled by the AKM Velvet Sound AK4493/AK5572 chips, renowned for their transparency. Hypex Ncore amplification modules deliver exceptional power with remarkable purity and efficiency. The 5th generation SHARC+ DSP processor provides colossal computing power, capable of processing the most complex operations with extreme precision.
Sealed Valchromat enclosure
Rigid, dense, and perfectly damped, the Valchromat cabinet features a sealed design that eliminates any flow noise and suppresses the group delays inherent in bass-reflex designs. The result: a tighter, faster, and more consistent bass response.
DSP
The proprietary, in-house developed calibration program fully corrects the frequency, phase, and impulse response for perfectly neutral and coherent sound reproduction. Each Quasar is individually calibrated in a hemisanechoic chamber, guaranteeing unparalleled consistency from one unit to another.
