The LCD-5s is the new version of the LCD-5, Audeze's reference headphone. It keeps its 90 mm drivers and adds SLAM™ technology for fuller, more realistic bass.
Latest-generation Audeze planar technology
The LCD-5s uses 90 mm planar magnetic drivers incorporating Fluxor™, Fazor™ and Nano-Scale Parallel Uniforce™ technologies. This architecture precisely controls diaphragm movement for extended frequency response, excellent transient speed and extremely low distortion. The result is particularly transparent and analytical reproduction, able to reveal the smallest details of a recording.
SLAM™ technology for more realistic bass
The LCD-5s introduces SLAM™ (Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator) technology, developed by Audeze to improve the driver's acoustic behaviour. This structure optimises airflow around the diaphragm to improve bass impact, definition and linearity, while keeping the precision and speed typical of planar headphones.
High-end design for long listening sessions
The LCD-5s combines carbon fibre, magnesium and leather, making it sturdy and relatively light for its category. The headband and weight distribution have been optimised for excellent comfort during long listening or studio sessions.
