Active speakers with controlled directivity

The Dutch & Dutch 6c Studio are active speakers designed to deliver faithful, consistent, and controlled reproduction in professional environments. They inherit the DNA of the 8c in a more compact format, with particular attention paid to directivity control and room integration.

A room-centric approach

The 6c Studio incorporates RoomMatching technology, allowing for precise adaptation of the speakers' response to the room's acoustics. This approach reverses the traditional logic: it is no longer the room that imposes its constraints, but the system that adapts to it.

Broadband cardioid directivity

Like the 8c, the 6c uses an extended cardioid directivity in the bass and lower midrange. This limits interactions with rear walls and achieves a more stable and intelligible response in real rooms. The result is improved precision in the lower spectrum and a more reliable stereo image.

Complete active system

Each speaker integrates amplification, DSP, and conversion, forming a coherent and optimized system. The onboard amplification reaches approximately 360 W per speaker, distributed among the different drivers.

Optimized 3-way architecture

The 6c is based on a 3-way configuration with a dome tweeter in a waveguide, a front-facing mid/bass driver, and a dedicated woofer at the rear. This architecture combines bass extension, directivity control, and low distortion.

Studio Version

The Studio version is designed for professional environments. It retains the acoustic performance of the standard model but focuses on simple integration into a studio workflow, without integrated streaming functions.

Compact format, extended performance

With a format of 38 × 22 × 30.8 cm and weighing 14 kg, the 6c remains relatively compact while offering bass extension that can go down to around 30 Hz depending on room integration.

Scalability

The 6c can be paired with the optional 6S bass module, transforming the system into a full-range cardioid configuration with increased dynamics and extension.
