All-in-one streaming amplifier with CD player

The Eversolo Play CD Edition is an all-in-one hi-fi solution designed to radically simplify access to a high-performance audio system. By combining network streaming, a CD player, digital-to-analogue conversion and amplification in a single chassis, it offers a modern alternative to traditional hi-fi systems, which are often complex and bulky.

Designed to fit easily into a living room as well as a more demanding setup, it combines modern ergonomics, solid performance and complete connectivity, without giving up your CD collection.

A complete audio system in one device

The Eversolo Play CD Edition brings together four essential elements:

• network player (streaming)
• built-in CD player
• high-resolution DAC
• stereo amplifier

This integration reduces the number of devices, cables and everyday hassles, while maintaining consistent sound quality.

Compatible with most streaming services (Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify, Amazon Music...), it also supports playback via DLNA, Bluetooth or Roon Ready.

Built-in CD player and ripping

The CD Edition integrates a Hitachi-LG optical drive mounted in a vibration-damping chassis, which limits resonance and ensures stable disc rotation. Error-correction algorithms improve playback of scratched or older discs.

The Play CD Edition can also rip your CDs (FLAC/WAV) directly to its storage, so your whole collection is available for local playback from the screen or the app.

Power suited to most speakers

The built-in amplification is based on a modern Class D architecture, delivering:

• 2 x 60 W into 8 ohms
• 2 x 110 W into 4 ohms

This effectively drives most bookshelf speakers and many compact floorstanders, with good control and dynamics.

AKM DAC and high-resolution audio

The Play CD Edition features an AKM AK4493SEQ DAC, known for its precision and low distortion.

It supports:

• PCM up to 32-bit / 768 kHz
• DSD up to DSD512

Enough to make full use of today's hi-res catalogues, whether streaming or playing locally.

Modern interface and intuitive use

The user experience is one of the product's strengths.

• 5.5-inch HD touchscreen
• display of album art, VU meters and audio information
• smooth, fast navigation
• comprehensive Eversolo Control mobile app

The whole package is instantly easy to use, far from the complex interfaces often associated with hi-fi.

Room calibration and advanced settings

The Play CD Edition includes tools rarely found at this price:

• room acoustic calibration
• graphic equaliser (15 bands)
• parametric equaliser (10 bands)

These features let you adapt the sound to your actual listening environment, a key factor in getting the best result. Calibration relies on a microphone measurement: the Eversolo EM-01 calibration microphone, individually calibrated and sold separately, is the accessory designed for this.

Extremely comprehensive connectivity

The Eversolo Play CD Edition covers virtually every use:

• digital inputs (USB, optical, coaxial, HDMI ARC)
• analogue inputs
• MM / MC phono input (turntable)
• subwoofer output
• network (Wi-Fi, Ethernet)
• Bluetooth

It can become the sole heart of a complete audio system, whether focused on streaming, CD, TV or vinyl.

Compact design and premium build

The aluminium chassis provides:

• structural rigidity
• effective heat dissipation
• reduced electromagnetic interference

Its compact format and minimalist design make it easy to fit into any interior.

Conclusion

The Eversolo Play CD Edition is a particularly relevant solution for anyone looking for a modern, simple and high-performing hi-fi system, while still enjoying their CDs.

It does not necessarily replace very high-end separates, but it offers a remarkable balance between integration, features and sound quality.
