3-way coaxial active studio monitor

The Kali Audio IN-5 is a 3-way nearfield monitor: a 5-inch woofer and a coaxial module combining a 4-inch midrange with a 1-inch tweeter at its centre. It takes the principles of the IN-8 into a format suited to small rooms and desks.

Why a 3-way coaxial?

The mids and highs come from the same point: the stereo image is very precise and dispersion stays even, even when you move in front of the speakers. The 3-way design relieves each driver, increasing dynamic headroom and reducing distortion. The midrange cone also acts as a waveguide for the tweeter.

Designed for the real home studio

Boundary EQ settings compensate for the effect of a desk, a nearby wall or a meter bridge on the bass, in vertical or horizontal position. This second generation ("2nd Wave") gains a 12 dB quieter amplifier, improved DSP and more reliable drivers.
