Balanced studio headphone amplifier
The Lake People G108 is a high-end headphone amplifier designed and built in Germany for the most demanding sound engineers. Its oversized internal power supply drives any pair of headphones, including the hardest to drive: planar magnetics, 250 and 600 ohm Beyerdynamics, Sennheiser HD 600 / HD 650. At the other end of the range, its 7-step internal gain keeps it dead silent with the most sensitive in-ear monitors.
The G108 takes the electronics of the G105 MKII and adds a four-channel amplifier stage, giving it two headphone outputs: an unbalanced 1/4" jack and a balanced 4-pin XLR. The balanced output noticeably widens the soundstage and improves channel separation. Line inputs are balanced on XLR.
Handles 8 to 600 ohms, with stereo / mono switching and phase reverse — everything you need to check a mix as seriously on headphones as on speakers.
