The SourcePoint 10 Master Edition refines Andrew Jones' renowned coaxial speaker with optimized crossover, improved impedance linearity, and a new mid/high-frequency adjustment knob for finer room integration. Built around a custom-designed 10-inch driver, it is the culmination of years of development aimed at delivering extended frequency response, very low distortion, and remarkable musicality.
Micron-level precision for absolute accuracy
Experience a new level of precision and control with the SourcePoint 10 Master Edition. The British brand has redesigned its high-density Twin-Drive neodymium magnet system and paired it with optimized crossovers and a user-friendly tweeter adjustment knob. This delivers a pure, realistic, and vibrant sound, perfectly tailored to your listening room.
At the heart of the SourcePoint 10 lies the innovative high-density neodymium Twin-Drive magnetic system. Optimizing the frequency response of the woofer and tweeter isn't enough; minimizing distortion within the driver motor itself is equally crucial. A distorted motor generates unwanted frequencies that are absent from the original signal. Therefore, the design of this motor was carried out with extreme precision to limit such distortion.
The Twin-Drive system creates a perfectly symmetrical magnetic field, eliminating flux modulations and enabling extremely low intermodulation distortion (IMD). This technical feat largely explains the sonic purity and precision of the SourcePoint 10.
New customizable filter Master Edition
The Master Edition's crossover is the brains behind the SourcePoint 10's optimized sound. Built around meticulously selected components—polypropylene film capacitors, metallized film resistors, and air-core inductors—this circuit distributes the audio signal with pinpoint accuracy, sending each driver only its optimal frequency range. By carefully tuning each parameter, we achieved a crossover slope that maximizes coherence between the woofer and tweeter, ensuring seamless integration and exemplary phase alignment.
Integrated into the SP10ME's new crossover, the 3-position tweeter level selector lets you instantly adjust the high-frequency response. In the "High" position, the tweeter's presence is boosted to perform at its best in heavily damped rooms; the "Mid" position corresponds to the factory-calibrated balance, ideal for most listening environments; and finally, the "Low" position attenuates the treble to soften reflections in bright, reverberant rooms. Because this selector is directly integrated into the crossover's circuit board, there's no compromise on signal purity—only direct, clean, and transparent adjustments.
High-end cabinetmaking, reinforced for maximum clarity
A large-diameter speaker requires a substantial cabinet—but above all, one that is perfectly controlled in terms of vibration. The SourcePoint 10 uses thick MDF panels combined with a significant internal bracing system to eliminate any unwanted resonance.
The top, bottom, and sides are made of 25mm thick MDF, finished with a beautiful real wood veneer. The faceted baffle is machined from 50mm thick MDF and then coated with a very elegant satin black finish.
Two internal reinforcements connect the top, sides and bottom of the case, further strengthening the overall rigidity and ensuring highly accurate sound reproduction.
10" coaxial speaker: two transducers, one voice.
Custom-developed by Andrew Jones after 18 months of research and development, the brand new 10-inch coaxial speaker offers remarkable clarity and a bass foundation that is both deep and impactful.
Its 10-inch paper pulp woofer cone has a radiating surface 2.5 times larger than that of a conventional 6.5-inch woofer. This means it requires very little excursion to produce a full, dynamic sound. This minimal excursion also helps maintain a consistent waveguide around the tweeter, ensuring maximum coherence, minimal distortion, and rich, uncompromising bass.
Positioned at the center of the woofer, the tweeter is a 1.25" soft dome tweeter with a wide roll suspension and a large-diameter voice coil. Its high power handling and very low thermal compression allow it to be crossed over from 1.6 kHz, while offering a smooth response beyond 30 kHz.
These two transducers function as a single entity to produce a sound that is pure, coherent and powerful.
Easy to power with the electronics you like
With a sensitivity of 91 dB, the SourcePoint 10 can be powered with as little as 30 watts of power.
Its nominal impedance of 8 ohms, with a minimum of 6.4 ohms, makes it particularly easy to pair with the majority of amplifiers.
Whether you prefer tube or transistor amplifiers, your electronics will naturally match these speakers.
