Adjustable studio monitor stands, two speakers per stand
The Sound Anchors ADJ3 is a studio monitor stand that holds two speakers on a single upright, with independent height and tilt adjustment for each one. Sold as a pair, it lets you set up two pairs of monitors behind the console without cluttering the control room. Each speaker stays isolated from the floor, from the console and from its neighbour.
Two pairs of monitors in the space of one
Not all nearfield monitors sound the same, and being able to switch from one reference to another remains the most reliable way to validate a mix. The problem is rarely the budget: it is the space behind the console. The ADJ3 solves this by properly supporting two speakers per stand, with no makeshift stacking and no compromise on stability. Music control rooms, surround monitoring, mastering, radio and TV broadcast, film post-production, video game audio or online audio production: wherever several monitoring systems have to coexist at the same listening position.
Welded construction and factory damping
The ADJ3 studio speaker stand is built on the architecture of the Sound Anchors ADJ1 stands and carries over all of their benefits. The structure is welded from large-section square steel tubing of structural grade, combined with aluminium plate. Both the uprights and the bases are filled and damped at the factory: a sand-filled, capped PVC pipe is slid into each upright, then expanding foam fills any remaining voids. The result is substantial mass and a structure that does not resonate.
The platforms are made of 6 mm (1/4") aluminium, a thickness chosen to limit the energy transferred from the speaker into the stand. Everything is handcrafted in the USA.
Independent adjustment and decoupling
Each of the two platforms adjusts separately for height and tilt: you align the tweeters of each pair with your ears and aim the axis precisely at the listening position, without the setting of one speaker dictating the other. Floor spikes go through carpet to anchor the adjustable speaker stand to the slab, and sorbothane pads are supplied to sit between the speaker and the platform. The symmetrical base keeps the whole assembly stable, whatever the load spread across the two levels.
