1-channel class A preamplifier

The Soyuz Lakeside is a fully discrete mono Class A preamplifier with a unique and colorful sound. Utilizing in-house transformers on both input and output and crafted with Soyuz expertise, the Lakeside adds a warm character to any microphone, instrument, or line-level source.

The Lakeside is the ideal preamp for capturing vocals that come alive in your speakers, guitars that convey emotion, drums that hit with musical texture, and any other source that requires a colorful polish.

Easy to use and remarkably versatile, the Lakeside preamp delivers an effortless “finished” sound to every recording, making it an essential part of any studio or setup.

Built to last. Designed to inspire.

Inspired by classics and designed for the modern studio, the Lakeside preamplifier combines attention to detail with attractive design and exceptional engineering.

At the heart of the Lakeside are Soyuz's bespoke, hand-wound transformers at both the input and output ends, imbuing your sound with rich harmonic texture. The fully discrete Class A circuitry ensures optimal performance and maximum clarity.

The Lakeside preamplifier delivers the same ambience and richness of sound sought after in prized vintage equipment, but with the benefits of higher headroom, lower noise floor, and increased reliability.

Warm sound and total control

The Lakeside is designed to be warm and intuitive – allowing you to work quickly and easily find the perfect sound while staying in your creative flow.

The input gain switch adjusts the signal to an optimal level with the desired saturation, in 5dB steps and with a satisfying click. The output potentiometer allows you to control the output level for the freedom to choose the desired input gain. With these two controls, you can explore a wide range of sounds with simple adjustments and combine multiple Lakeside units for precise stereo pairing on two-mic setups or stereo sources.

The Lakeside is versatile and can deliver subtle coloration with ample headroom or be pushed into superb dynamic saturation and harmonic distortion that you won't find in any plugin.

High-pass filter and sound shaping

The in-house inductor-based high-pass filter adds a new dimension of control and creativity. The switch targets specific frequency points from 40 Hz to 330 Hz, with a musical resonance that goes beyond simple sound filtering. This switch quickly sculpts your sound with a natural roll-off and a slight bump that preserves the captured feel while encouraging you to experiment. Whether you're cutting unwanted low frequencies or adding clarity to your mix, use the filter's resonances to discover new tones.

DI input and versatility

The Lakeside preamp is the perfect companion for any Soyuz microphone, but its sonic signature will also enhance any other mic in your collection. Expect a rich, full sound that adds new texture to your condenser, dynamic, or ribbon microphones.

The front-panel DI input adds body and life to any instrument or high-impedance source – ideal for basses, electric guitars, synths, drum machines, and more.

Get creative and re-amp your tracks, recordings, and complete mixes through the Lakeside, and enjoy its warmth and distinct character on any track.

The Lakeside preamplifier fits perfectly into any studio or setup and will become a preferred choice for any source you wish to capture.
