Active 2-way passive-radiator nearfield monitors (pair)
The Telegrapher Raccoon is the 2-way nearfield monitor of Telegrapher's new, more accessible range. Its passive radiator supports the bass down to 45 Hz with fast transients, and its active analog crossover provides accurate listening day after day. The listed price is for a pair of speakers.
Supported bass without port noise
Instead of a bass-reflex port, the Raccoon uses a passive radiator to extend and support the low end while keeping transients fast, without port chuffing. The HDF (high-density fibreboard) cabinet, a very dense material, contributes to clean reproduction.
Analog filtering and dedicated amplification
A 15.2 cm woofer and a 2.5 cm tweeter are driven by an active analog crossover and two dedicated class D amplifiers (2 x 50 W). With 0.002% THD+N and 102 dB max SPL at 1 m, it meets the needs of close-range listening. Automatic shutdown and a status LED protect the speaker, and standby is configurable.
Place in the range and applications
The Raccoon carries over the visual language of Telegrapher's high-end range in a compact format, ideal for home studios, production desks and small control rooms. Available finishes: Jaipur Orange and Trooper White.
