Dedicated expansion unit for the Terra system
Gravity is the gravity expansion developed specifically to accompany Terra .
Designed as a pair of 26cm passive subwoofers, Gravity transforms Terra into a 2.2 full range monitoring system, without integration complexity or compromise on phase or accuracy.
Integration considered from the outset
Unlike generic subwoofers, Gravity isn't an external add-on. It's powered directly by the amplification located at the rear of the Terra and integrated via coordinated digital filtering. No external amplifier, no bass processing, no guesswork: the whole system works as a single, coherent unit.
Extension of bass without temporal compromise
Thanks to an LR4 digital zero-phase filter at 80 Hz, Gravity extends the system's response to a linear 30 Hz (F6 at 20 Hz) while maintaining perfect temporal coherence. The bass remains clear, fast, and perfectly aligned with the rest of the spectrum, without any muddiness or blurring in the stereo image.
More headroom, same precision
The addition of Gravity significantly increases the system's dynamic headroom, raising the maximum SPL to 112 dB at 1 m. This extra headroom is particularly valuable for realistic level work, high-energy content in the low end of the spectrum, or larger rooms.
A truly stereo 2.2 architecture
The 2.2 configuration with side-firing subwoofers preserves precise stereo bass information while minimizing room mode excitation. The shallow cabinet allows for placement close to the main speakers or even wall mounting, facilitating studio integration.
Calibration entirely managed by Terra
Gravity contains no amplification or DSP. All filtering, time alignment, level, and calibration are handled by Terra's electronics and DSP. Upon connection, the system automatically applies the appropriate settings, eliminating common phase, level, and bass management issues. Firmware and calibration updates performed on Terra apply to the entire Terra + Gravity system.
An addition, not an obligation
Terra is a complete speaker and perfectly usable on its own. Gravity is aimed at users who need deeper bass extension, a higher SPL level, or more faithful reproduction of bass-rich content, particularly in film, video games, or immersive formats.
Applications
Gravity is intended for monitoring for film and video games, content requiring strong bass extension, larger studios, and environments where accuracy and low-frequency reproduction are critical.
