Dedicated bass extension for the Terra system

Gravity is the bass extension developed specifically to accompany Terra.

Designed as a pair of 26 cm passive subwoofers, Gravity turns Terra into a full-range 2.2 monitoring system, with no integration complexity and no compromise on phase or precision.

Integration built in from the start

Unlike generic subwoofers, Gravity is not an external add-on. It is powered directly by the amplification on the back of Terra and integrated through coordinated digital filtering. No external amplifier, no bass management processor, no guesswork: the whole system works as a single, coherent unit.

Bass extension without time compromise

Thanks to a zero-phase LR4 digital filter at 80 Hz, Gravity extends the system's response to a linear 30 Hz (F6 at 20 Hz) while keeping perfect time coherence. The bass stays clear, fast and perfectly aligned with the rest of the spectrum, with no smearing or blurring of the stereo image.

More headroom, same precision

Adding Gravity significantly increases the system's dynamic headroom, bringing maximum SPL to 112 dB at 1 m. This extra margin is especially valuable for working at realistic levels, for content with a lot of low-end energy, or in larger rooms.

A truly stereo 2.2 architecture

The 2.2 format with side-firing subwoofers preserves accurate stereo bass information while limiting excitation of room modes. The shallow cabinet allows installation close to the main speakers, or even wall mounting, making studio integration easy.

Calibration fully handled by Terra

Gravity contains no amplification or DSP. All filtering, time alignment, level and calibration are handled by Terra's electronics and DSP. When connected, the system automatically applies the right settings, eliminating the usual phase, level and bass management issues. Firmware and calibration updates made on Terra apply to the whole Terra + Gravity system.

An addition, not a requirement

Terra is a complete speaker and perfectly usable on its own. Gravity is for users who need deeper bass extension, higher SPL or more faithful reproduction of bass-heavy content, particularly for film, video games or immersive formats.
