Stereo pair of small-diaphragm FET condenser microphones

The Soyuz 011 FET-M is a matched pair of 011 FET pencil mics, handmade in Russia. A 19 mm capsule designed and machined by Soyuz, a transformerless circuit and an ultra-compact format: everything you need for a discreet, precise stereo pair, in the studio or live.

A matched pair, not two mics in the same box

The two mics in the set are selected and matched so their response is identical. That is what keeps a stereo image stable in XY, ORTF, AB or spaced pair: no level difference between channels, no centre pulling to one side. The set comes in a wooden case with two -10 dB pads and two clips.

A Soyuz signature, without a transformer

The 011 series was voiced to offer controlled lows, smooth mids and defined highs. The transformerless circuit gives a fast, articulate response, a very low noise floor (16 dB A-weighted) and a transparent sound that never turns harsh.

Overheads, strings, ambience

This is the 011 FET-M's playground. At 91 mm long and 76 g per mic, the pair is easy to place above a drum kit, in front of a string ensemble, a piano or an acoustic guitar, or in a live rig where discretion matters. 130 dB max SPL and the -10 dB pads let it handle loud sources. The optional hypercardioid and omnidirectional capsules screw onto the same body to switch from a cardioid pair to an omni (AB) pair or tighten the pickup.

011 FET-M or 013 FET-M?

The 011 FET-M is Soyuz's most compact and affordable stereo pair, with a precise, fast sound. The 013 FET-M uses a 25 mm capsule and a toroidal transformer that give it more warmth and harmonic density. The 011 is also available individually: Soyuz 011 FET.
